HARISH ARORA

Mr.Harish Arora from his days in high school was drawn towards a business pertaining to inventory management. After completing his M Com from DU in 1982 he got himself into a position of employment, the way it had been in the family. But he couldn’t withstand the desideration and in 1985 finally ended up snapping 2 trucks.

This lead to the wondrous journey of not only Mr.Arora but every individual who came to be associated with BGIR. or SDL. Always known as someone too polished to be a transporter, Mr.Arora changed how things worked in the industry to the point that he came to be known as the only organized transporter amongst the industry segment customers.

It is a testament to his value based system that the company has been able to develop age long relationships with all its consociates. His motto has been to work in such a manner that the employee comes first with each employee ensuring that the customer comes first.

The desire for continuity through consistent and persistent efforts is reflected in our huge team of professionals wherein top layer of employees of our intermediate management have been with the company for several decades. Mr.Arora is a father figure for hundreds of his employees a testament of a negligible attrition rate even at the lower level with 2 to 3 generations of families working in our organization. More than 330 drivers and labourers have been with the company for over two decades.

By acquiring an expertise in complete supply chain solutions right from third party procurement, plant handling, transportation, built to suit warehousing, inventory management and last mile delivery Mr. Arora has been able to create a niche in the market by providing single window solutions for anything and everything pertaining to supply chain. Mr. Arora’s ethical and simplistic way of living led him to the path of philanthropy way before the company came under CSR. His regular contributions towards society especially differently abled beings led him to be awarded as Distinguished People of India award by CNN.
